  1. Full of crime, the majority from youths who even attack fire fighters and funeral processions, they are so bored

Suffers from drunken hooligans every weekend in every town in the country, as Brits still haven't to be relaxed with alcohol like their Continental neighbours

Experiencing an immigration epidemic similar to the US which is causing a lot of social problems

However.....still benefits from tourism and has the third highest number of billionaires in the world, and the highest number of citizens owning a second home abroad in the Western World.

  2. blimey, what kind of facts?

well, contrary to popular belief it does not rain all the time. i mean it can get pretty wet and the drizzle can be annoying but we do not tend to get mega torrential downpours, just showers. we have some lovely sunny weather too.

you may find some regional accents difficult to understand people from abroad often struggle with yorkshire, geordie, brummy and scouse accents and dialect.

the food is nicer than people would have you believe.

the people in the north of england tend to be friendlier than in the south, in terms of holding doors etc.

in some northern towns and cities people will call you "love" "duck" "c**k" even when they do not know you, as a friendly term. people in the north also thank bus drivers when they get off a bus.

the north is also generally cheaper than the south in terms of rent, living costs etc. it also tends to be colder.

englnad is a beautiful country. there really are castles and ruins all over the place. if you come over join english heritage for a year and you will get free entry to hundreds of sites of historical interest.

in fact you can even rent some castles for holidays, wedings etc.

living here is ok, living costs have gone up alot recently but i guess thats happening in america too.

if you are a student you will probably be living either in student accomodation like halls of residence or a bedsit ( a room with a bed, a cooker etc, you live in one room and usually share a bathroom) or in a terraced house that you share with other students (normally victorian terraces in inner city areas. terraces=rows of houses that are all joined together. you may call them something else?)

there is good night life in most big cities especially thurs fri and sat nights.

public transport is pretty naff most of the time.

you are also pretty well located to make a few trips into other european countries. you can get the channel tunnel through to france and visit some other places while your here

there is alot to do i england really, how can i tell you everthing here? go walking in the lake district or the peak district, or on the pennines.

visit lots of old sites, i love going around the castes and things.

visit castleton, try and go to a country fair or a summer fete, indulge in touristy acticities, eat fish and chips and spotted d**k and yorkshire pudding and things like that. go to blackpool for the illuminations in autumn. visit the seaside and eat rock and ride a donkey.

just see and do as much as you can...ive lived here all my life and theres still so many places i want to see and visit.

the music and culture scene etc is pretty good.

er...not sure what else you would want to know about really. do you mean cost, nightlife, weather, voltage???
