  1. Like Old Father Thames, England keeps rolling along! And they would do fine.

  2. English teams without asians is like English cricket without p***s.

  3. yes...bit difficult for them

  4. Well monty is by far englands best spinner, and owais and bopara are doing well.

    ravid bopara is the next big thing for england, the way he plays, is about 20% reminiscent of sachin, which is very good.

  5. It would not make any difference

  6. trutfully i cant accuretly answer this but my guess wed be screwed over

  7. The players you name are hardly nailed on certainties for a place in the sdie.

    Owais Shah: Has played 2 Test matches, both times as a stand-in, and has had at least 3 goes at establishing himself in the ODI side;

    Vikram Solanki: Never played a Test, and again, has had several goes at the ODI side with mixed fortunes;

    Ravi Bopare: Was dropped after one poor Test series. Although a regular in ODI side, his place is still under review due to his inexperience. He is viewed as the next big thing, but needs to prove himself over a longer timeframe;

    Sajid Mahmood: He is a long way off getting back into the England side;

    Monty Panesar: Only in the side because Ashley Giles retired.

    So England would be fine without any of the Asian players. None of them have been a mainstay of the side, although all have had varying degrees of success. Panesar is the only one who can command a place at Test level, but he struggles to break into the ODI side.

  8. Well i must say there is an element of race involved.

    Andrew Strauss was prefered to Owais Shah when Owais Shah was performing well and Strauss was out of the England team for a while, this was during the New Zealand Tour in the Winter.

    My view is that if they get 2 Asian Players in the England Team then more and more will get in & the England/Wales Cricket Board are actually intimidated by this, am not saying its blatant racism but it doesnt take a genius to work out a race element playing a part.

    Sajid Mahmood is probably the fastest bowler in the English game if not one of the fastest in the World, ok so he goes for a few runs but so did Harmison, Brett Lee, James Anderson, you got to give the Bowler time & keep letting him play to improve and gain experience.

    End of the day it is the England team and not Asian team so majoiroty will have to be of White Players, but as i said if the Cricket Board are worried that if they let more then 2 or 3 Asian players in the team then the team will be taken over by Asians.

    In my opinion Bopara is not that good enough to play at test or one day International level at the moment  so keep him aside but the likes of Monty, Shah are better then some of the English players in the team at the present but what can u do, its England and white players will always come first no matter what Sport it is in England.
