Do citizens of the EU still go through the border control process? What are the country's border control policies regarding the following lotions, fluids and semi fluids:liquid soap, shampoo, sunscreen, tooth paste, deodorant? Do they have to be placed in special bags/containers/wrappings? Is there a maximum amount of how much of each can you have with you?

  1. You still have to go through border control with  your EU passport, but the lines generally move much faster than the non-EU lines.

The liquids, gels and creams restrictions is based on the airport you are departing from. When  you leave from London Heathrow, they allow one clear, resealable plastic bag (no larger than 1L in size) and each bottle/tube/jar must be less than 100mL, but the overall quantity of liquids cannot exceed 1L. You have to take the clear bag out at security to be screened separately from your carry-on luggage. If you put your liquids in your checked luggage there is no restriction.

Also - Heathrow is only allowing ONE piece of carry-on luggage. If you have a purse, a laptop case and a weekender bag - that counts as 3 pieces. You have to pack everything into one bag.

Stick deoderant and solid wax candles do not count as liquids. The "gel" type of deoderant or jelly candles would count.

  2. You still have to go through border control as the previous reply said! You would need to check at your departure airport as to what you can take with you as regards deoderants etc. It might vary between airlines!

  3. EU is quicker than the other one , as long as its an EU country you leave from and arrive at

put all your liquid stuff in your checked luggage , have flown all around the world , you can get a drink on a plane , and you can brush your teeth when you land

    all the best
