The direct answer to your question is NO. According for the Player Handbook, there is no "tournament entry fee" due for PGA Tour members. However, all PGA Tour members pay a one-time Initiation Fee of $100 and Annual Dues of $100 and well as other miscellaneous fees.

Furthermore, professional non-members pay $50 per event (or other stated amount) for "limited membership," which lasts the duration of the tournament. Amateurs also pay $50 per start (or other stated amount), which is categorized as an admin fee.

Golfers themselves pay the fees. There is a strict rule on the PGA Tour against compensation provided by sponsors to guarantee the appearance (a/k/a "appearance fee") of a competitor.

Most tournaments have entry fees and the pro golfer is expected to pay it. Whether it is paid with the entry announcement is not the point. Neither is  the person who actually lays out the cash.But fees are paid for each contestant.
