What would happen to your body if your heart beat at 400 times per minute?

Would it explode?

I got this from the movie wanted.

No it would fail (die) if nothing is done about it.

The heart is a muscle if it is put under too much strain then it will just give up. It's a pump not a reservoir so it would not explode. Think of it like lifting weights your arm will get tired and eventually you will not be able to lift it anymore.
