i need to find % error in an experiment where i got 2.9 but the right answer is 2.7. what do i do?

  1. percent error = ABS[ (A-E)/A ]x 100

    ABS = absolute value

    A=accepted value (I.e. handbook)

    E=experimental (the value you get)

    percent error = ABS [(2.7 - 2.9) / 2.7] x 100 = 7.4 percent
