  1. first they deforest all the forests in the world and kill all the animals.

Then they plant Mono cultures of trees ,that are like h**l on Earth devoid of life except plagues of single insect species

    which they kill with pesticides

and the weeds they control with herbicides,

Then they over pump subteranean water supplies suck the ground dry of water ,because this kind of agro forestry needs a lot of water ,because they heavily rely on fertilizers.

    Which murders the original soil

Top top it of all of this produces more carbon than all of the cars and industrial polution together ,on the whole planet .

do you still want to know how to make Ethanol

its the same as making moonshine

  2. Ethanol production begins with a sugar-containing liquid, like juices from crushed corn, sugarcane, etc.  Then the liquid is fermented.  It's exactly the process used to make alcohol for drinking.  Yeast is added, which converts the sugar into alcohol.  Typically the alcohol is not concentrated very much after this step, and the solution must be distilled in order to get high concentrations (close to 100%) necessary for use as a fuel.

Of course there are some questions whether or not the production of ethanol for a fuel is a good idea - but that's not what you asked, is it? :)

  3. Ethanol is a hoax.  It does not burn as efficient as gasoline, nor does it burn as clean as gasoline.  It costs more to manufacture and as you adults can see, it is making the price of EVERYTHING go up.  Price of meat, milk, veggies etc.

  4. Ethanol is produced from the fermentation of sugar. Though starchy and cellulosic materials can also be used by converting it to sugar and fermenting it. but there are species of organisms that can convert these materials into ethanol in shorter pathway.

sugarcane can be converted into ethanol by using yeast. yeast do the action on the sugar and produces ethanol. but in these process not all sugar is being converted into ethanol because there are certain concentration level of ethanol that the yeast can tolerate. moreover, the ethanol produced in these process is not pure and needs to be dehydrated depending on its application. ethanol can be dehydrated by distillation, but it cannot give a 100% ethanol purity. there are technologies used to dehydrate into pure ethanol.

  5. Why are people so DENSE??? Ethanol makes the price of food go up.  Gasoline makes the price of EVERYTHING go up.  Wake up people!!!!  Oil is the number one cause of inflation!  Rising oil prices make the cost of ALL goods more expensive.  Take an economics class.  Higher trasnportation costs(ie higher gas prices) leads to higher prices at the store.  Every single thing you buy at the store has to be shipped there, usually via a diesel 18 wheeler.  Diesel comes from oil and higher oil prices means higher consumer prices.  I'd rather pay more for a chicken sandwich and less for everything else I buy.  but apparently some people, like Coach,  would rather pay 7 cents less for a chicken a sandwich and pay way more for everything else they buy.

  6. The major procedure is to make people believe that the energy to make ethanol justifies the process.  It doesn't, it is just a fool's tool to make people believe that governments are trying to help.  Ha Ha..

  7. They use corn kernels because they have starches that turn to sugar that can then be fermented with yeast. The yeast mash creates a very dilute mixture of ethyl alcohol that is mostly water. Ethanol boils at a lower temperature than water, so they heat it up to about 190 degrees.

The ethanol comes out at this process at about 95% purity. Getting the last 5% of water out is very difficult.

The ethonal is denatured with gasoline or something else to make it unfit for human consumption.

They are working on making ethanol out of cellulastic materical, leaves, branches, wood chips, etc. That is a different process, and will let us use most any plant material, instead of expensive corn.

  8. Take corn seeds and fertilizer made from natural gas, burn diesel fuel to plant and harvest the corn, burn diesel fuel to transport the corn to the ethanol plant, use natural gas to convert the corn into ethanol, burn diesel to transport the ethanol to a place to put in in a car.  End result, is you use more petroleum and natural gas energy than you get in energy from the ethanol.

  9. simply put, the production is done by distilling a fermented product multiple times. then you use something simliar to silicate (a product that removes moisture often found in shoe boxes) to remove the last 2% of water from the alcohol. also it is not a hoax, i ran my car on E85 without any conversion needed. and what i could do to better the milelage would be things like purchase the fuel injector coverter that allows for the correct amout of E85 per cylinder to max out the potenial. I found i had just about the same mileage without converting.

  10. Ethanol is a scam. Don't believe what BP and other oil companies tell you. It would require farmers to only grow crops for fuel production instead of food. And if farmers refuse, they will completly destroy the forrests, and build Ethanol refineries that will pollute just as much as oil refineries.

Besides, Ethanol doesn't even burn clean. Hydrogen, Electric, Compressed Air, and Solar technologies will kick Ethanol's *** any day.
