  1. I did not completly understand that episode it was confusing but i guess the power of the time stuff was to much. it describes it on wikipedia as him disintegrating.

i'm not terribly helpful, am i? e for effort though. i had this sicky feeling in my stumach all night cuz it was so sad. and poor allison.

but it had to be done. i mean, ya can't have the main character's love marry another dude. they already did that in star trek next generation with picard letting beverly crusher marry jack crusher without telling her his feelings for her. and look how that turned out. many years later when the show started u could tell he still deap dwon had feelings for her and was deffinatty attracted to him but he was stuck in a stupid situaltion of guilt and respect for the dead and so had to hide that. things would never have worked for carter for the remainder of the series if they had been married.

  2. Since he died in a space time tear he can obviously be brought back any time they want.

  3. The most widely accepted answer (at least for now) is that Stark got stuck in a time hole when he repaired the time stream.

The actor had mentioned last year that he wanted to leave the show, but in a way that was fitting of the show.  I think the writers did a great job with this.  It also leaves an opening for him to return (think about Walter Perkins from season 1).

  4. In "I Do Over" (season 3 episode 4) Stark helps Jack repair a hole in the space-time continuum, which requires him to manually synchronize a particle deaccelerator with a nuclear clock in order to repair space-time. Though the clock was activated and the continuum repaired, Stark appeared to disintegrate and vanish. His last words to Carter were "I'll see you around, Jack."

I was pissed.  I didn't want Stark to die.  His interaction with Carter was priceless.  Then again, and I know it's awful to say, this DOES leave an opening for Carter to become romantic with Allison.  Not right away, of course.  She still has to mourn.  But eventually.
