I am beyond confused...I'm am going to be in the UK as well as other European countries. What i do know is that the UK and continental Europe uses 2 different types of plugs, so i need 2 different adapters. Beyond that i'm a bundle of confusion. Can someone suggest a site where i can get an all-in-one european, UK, converter/adapter?

  1. you can't....european outlets are differents than the ones in the UK, so you need two different adapter plugs.  If the device doesn't automatically convert into the local watts (europe is 220, so it would have to say 110~220 on it), you'll need a transformer which is heavy as lead.

  2. What you CAN do is go to a travel store and get a universal PACK of adaptors...with, I think four different plugs...all with the female side being US, and the male side being for four different regions...Europe and Spain are different, England, and there's one other, which I believe is ALSO used in UK.

As for a Converter, you should only need one, or one for each appliance you expect to use at the same time....your batteries will probably need one, and any mono-voltage things like curling irons, irons, etc.  If you buy dual voltage, you don't need to worry about the converter....SOME battery chargers and many laptop cords are dual, but you should check to be sure.

Try any travel shop...ll bean carries them, AAA, luggage stores.  Many have sets that are the converter plus the socket sets.

If you get stuck and need more, you can always run to the hardware store, the plugs cost about 3€ in Spain.
