Ever heard of pet screens?

my neighbor says i can replace my screen in my door with pet screen. does it work from cats tearing through it?

pet screens are VERY strong. unless you have a very smart cat, he won't get through.

Ya pet screen is pretty tough . It is made of hard plastic, made for big dogs that scratch at the screen and works great for that so I think it will be OK for a cat, but it is not cheap at all for a screen company to put it in they will probably charge around 75$ a panel or more.
