Everything is Blue

About 5 months ago my Vizio TV made a LOUD noise then turned off. When i turned it on, it came back on, picture still clear but everyone is blue...when I go into the menu the tint is way off (the adjustment bar is like in the negative) and it wont change....I just went and bought a panasonic Viera but my parents now want to use the TV and hopefully repair it instead of buying a new TV.... any suggestions?
