I was dating Bryan casually for six weeks. I met his family he met mine. We spent a great deal of time together. He ended up texting me saying it was over and he needed to be single at this point in life and hoped we could be friends and was sorry for leading me on. I was pissed he ended it over a text but I agreed.

Five days later he texts and I replied with a one word answer and said I was busy. I was moving on and did not want to be bothered with him. He went off to football camp for his college. Three weeks later he texts me out of the blue asking how I was doing and what I had been up to.

I kept it brief and said I was busy again. He persisted in texting me then said " I will be checking up on you periodically bye bye Ms.Va".

I kept it polite and short but he still insist on keeping contact. I want to forget all about him but he insist on staying in my life somehow.

Why would a guy who does not want to be with a girl keep in contact with her and check up on her?

[I'm 17 and he is 19]

[I'm in college and a virgin so he knew up front no s*x just in case you thought it was sexual]

  1. he is really confused about what he wants right now..let him know to please not contact you anymore.

he is obviously trying to have his cake and eat it too! maintain your high standards and let this guy be confused without you in the middle :)

  2. I wouldn't be so worried about being nice about it. Just tell him that you are not interested in being friends & to please stop texting you. I don't think you should be rude but just be honest.

  3. It sounds like the typical she is a good girl but I want to have my fun now. He is keeping in touch for when he is ready.
