Ex-students on Facebook?

Would you add a pupil you had taught to your friends list. I haven't but some of my colleagues have.

No.

I've just left sixth form, I'm 18. Some of my ex-teachers added my friends whilst we we at sixth form but I don't think it is very professional.

I'm not a teacher, but my form tutor added me and its nice to read what she has been doing and she was pleased to hear from me. I am an adult now, so why not. When you spent 5yrs with a teacher and at the time is an important figure in your life, its nice to see what each other has achieved!

you can set it so only your friends can see your photos etc. they'll know you're there but will have to be one of your contacts to see your stuff.

my daughter's form teacher has just left her school, before she went she gave a few of the kids her e-mail address to keep in touch. she's a young teacher, it wouldn't surprise me if she was on facebook too.

Might be quite interesting to be able to keep in touch. I'm not even on Facebook though.
