I know this is gross but for the past week Ive had an excessive amount in my eyes. It looks like a white substance. Would my gloss mascara be to blame for? Is it caused by rinsing my face and excessive water going into my eyes? Is it an infection/irritation?

Please help and serious answers plz. Thanks XOXO

  1. It could be several things, but most likely it is allergies.  Try some Zrytec and some allergy eyedrops and see if that helps.  If your eyes are red and crusty when you wake up it could be pink eye.  You could have irritation from the mascara.  Try not using it for a few days and see if it goes away.

Yes it can make your eyes puffy and red, especially if you are itching them.  It is a bad time of year for pollen and other airborne allergies.  I would see a doctor.

  2. If the mucus is white and not green, it's most likely not an infection.
