  1. Yes if you book from an outside company you can still prebook excursions and set your account up once you have a booking number. You go on the website of the company of the ship you are sailing enter your booking number, you may have to set up an user name and password, then you should be able to set up that account and prebook your excursions.

it varies sometimes on how to find the cheapest way to book cruises. Sometimes outside companies have sales and you can get your cruise for much cheaper than the ship's company will offer. Other times you may get one day sales from the ship's company. i would advise to just look around to see if you can find deals.

    Hope i helped.

  2. No matter where you book your cruise, you still have to pre-register on the cruise line's website after you make your final payment.  Once you have pre-registered, you can book your shore excursions online through their website.

The cheapest way to book a cruise is through a travel agent as a rule.  Cruise lines have excellent relationships with travel agents and often times give them access to specials that other places do not have.  (I promise I am not saying that just because I am a travel agent).

  3. I always book with a agent and then book excursions on line later

  4. We have been on a dozen cruises, and from my experience, the best and cheapest way to book a cruise is to find the cruise you want on the internet, and then go to your travel agent and have them book it for you. The reason I say this is because my travel agent can get me the same price as the internet but with perks. If I have any questions or problems, or if I need to change something, she does it for me, and I don't have to worry about if it can be done at the website I ordered it from. For the same price I get personal service, and someone I trust. As far as excursions, I always go with the excursions through the cruise company because if they are late, the cruise has to wait for them. If you are on your own tour and they are late, the cruise will not wait for you and you will have to find your own way to the next port. I have seen it happen. Once your cruise is booked (it doesn't matter where you book it) you can prebook your excursions online or book them once you get on the cruise. I hope this helps. If you have further questions, you can email me. Have a great cruise.

  5. In most cases you can and will book and pre pay shore excursions on the cruise lines home page. I did that with royal carebbian and it worked perfect. Johan
