Question:

Experiences of living in Hull??

by  |  earlier

We are considering relocating to Hull, and would like any personal experiences from Hull residents/ex-residents.

Where are the nice areas to live? Any areas to avoid? We have a 3 year old toddler and another baby on the way, so is there lots to do (museums, good parks, etc) for kids??

Any experiences or knowledge would be helpful.

Thank you!

  1. I have been to Hull Once, and i was only passing through to play a Rugby Match ... i would never ever go back if i didnt have to, i think the place is dyer

a few of my Friends went to live in Hull to go to the University and don't like the place as well and can't wait to leave at the end of their course

i also think it was voted on of the worst places in Britain to live

but thats just my opinion anyway.

  2. as with all cities there are good points and bad points

if you are looking for a good area to buy a house try looking in the kingswood area but be careful there wee a lot of flooded houses there last year

there are good shops with the newly opened st stephens complex and there is the prospect centre and the princess quay complex too there are lots of cinemas and two good theatres the new theatre as well as hull truck

there are a few museums the street life museum wilberforce house and the whaling museum which is opposite the ferens art gallery

all in all its not a bad place

hope this is some use !
