Explain quotation??

Reading causes us to become involved in what we are reading, and then feel as if we're part of the story.

I think it means that when you learn how to read you are able to go places in your life that you would not be able to if you were not capable of reading.  It gives you more opportunities such as a good job and stability.

Reading takes us on journeys:)

We find "homes" in comfortable materials or content that makes us feel good.
