explain why terrestrial ecosystems would be adversely affected if soil inverteberates were removed from the system?

    the ecosystem uses the land it is on to support it.... the invertebrates function by processing the nutrients back into the soil, aerating and such which encourages more growth from plant and local wildlife who eat the invertabrates (like worms), keeping the whole system in check...a balanced circle of life.
