When you have prescription reading glasses. What part of your eye has the reading problem? What makes you need reading glasses.

  1. Many reasons for needing glasses, short sighted or long sighted are the main reaons


  2. Your eye is unable to focus on close objects. This is generally caused by a stiff lens or an oddly shaped eyeball that puts the retina too far from the lens.

  3. The lens. The muscles that reshape the lens so that it can focus are not what they used to be when we were younger, so it becomes increasingly difficult for the muscles to make the lens thicker, like a magnifying glass, and therefore makes it hard to focus up close.
