Eyeliner tips for long eyelashes?

I have really thick and long eyelashes and it makes putting on eyeliner a real pain.

Each time I try the pencil always ends up getting caught on an eyelash and jerking my hand, causing a break in the obviously straight line I'm trying to make.

Any tips or tricks of the trade to make this easier for me?

try using light and short strokes on your eyelash line. dont worry about any eyeliner on your lashes because mascara will cover it up. if that still doesnt work try using an eyeshadow on a wet angled eyeliner brush. this offers more control. set it with the same eyeshadow dry.
