  1. I submitted mine online and it only took a couple weeks.

I don't know what the follow up thing is but I found out by checking my account on my school's site..

EFC is how much your family will pay.

"The Data Release Number (DRN) is required to make certain changes associated with the FAFSA you filed. You can make corrections to your mailing address and/or to the schools you listed to receive your FAFSA data. Just call the U.S. Department of Education's Federal Student Aid Information Center (1-800-4-FED-AID [1-800-433-3243]). The DRN also allows you to release your FAFSA data to schools you did not list on your original FAFSA. The DRN is printed in the lower left-hand corner of your Student Aid Report (SAR)"

  2. Well it takes about a month....and depending on the school you will be attending you might have to go in to find out anything...meet with a financial advisor and go over your FASFA form.

  3. Call your school and check with the financial aid office.  They can tell you if any info is missing and when award notifications and actual checks will be sent out.

  4. approximately 30 to 90 days

  5. do u mean FAFSA?

  6. i believe you're talking about FAFSA... and it takes some time... i'd give it a month or so, but keep checking up on it

  7. EFC is the amount of money that you are expected to contribute to your education this year based on the income of your family and also on the cost of the school.

EFC determines how much you will get in finances.

It is up to the school to inform you on the amount of aid you will receive. Each school varies in the time.
