Facebook Picture Uploading from a Mac?

When I upload pictures onto facebook through their Java application, the pictures turn out as if they are only 500x300 mega pixels where I know that they are bigger than that. The result: blurry pictures because all the pixels are squeezed together. Is there a way where I can upload through the Java app. and have my pictures come out normal sized?

Chances are it is just facebook cheaping out on storage space by compressing your images, You could post to a real photo hosting website then post your link.

You could try resizing the photo before uploading then it won't be "edited", in random ways after.
