  1. 2(x- 32)   You factor out the 2 for each term

    6)  4xy - 4xy - 30y = - 30y

  2. 5   (x+8)(x-8)

    6  2(xy-2xy-15y)= -2y(x+15)

  3. 5) 2(x-32) is correct.  You just factor out the number that is common to both terms.

    6) is different.  That is a trinomial which can usually be factored, but it has two variables.  I have tried several ways to factor this one and just cannot seem to find a way to do it.  Check the problem and make sure you have written it correctly.  If you have, then you need to talk to your teacher cuz I'm stumped.

  4. x^2-64

    (x-8)(x+8)

    2x^2y-4xy-30y

    2y(x^2-2x-15)

    2y(x-5)(x+3)
