Hi, I'm taking my family, ( me, my wife, 1 baby, 1 4 year old) to Paris for a few nights. Can anyone recommended a reasonably priced hotel for families in the most suitable district for access to the sights? Thank you.

  1. dang your old my bad no i do not

  2. That's a pretty huge question for a city so rich in attractions. Where to start?

Firstly, Paris has a good transportation system, both metro, buses, taxis and trains, so nothing is more than an hour away. I guess EuroDisney is a must for kids although your baby won't notice much, so you may need to plan a 2nd visit, although your 14 year old will have a great time.

Not exactly cultural for your 14 year old though.

To assist you planning further i think you are best to look at the National Tourism Office of France and the official Paris site. I've put links in below.

For accommodation in Paris, I'd suggest one of several sites, but these folks have a "sort" filter on locations, price, star ratings with descriptions and room types. Dig behind the offers to find the correct room configurations for yourselves. Some of the last minute offers have free inclusions which may also assist you.

I hope that helps,  good luck and happy planning.

  4. Mary's hotel, you can look at : http://www.maryshotel.fr/ (english and french site)

    - One Star hotel

    - Paying parking

    - about 20 bedrooms

    - 54 € a bedroom for two

    - 5 minutes Porte de Bagnolet

    - 20 minutes from Roisy

    - in the 20th disrict (Monmartre)

I'm french, an go there when in Paris.

  5. Check Yahoo! FareChase, they find great hotels for great prices

  6. From personal experience the booking.com works great for me.

You can find good offers, reviews and ratings from guests (a great tool to decide based on other people bad or good experience).

I'm using it the last three years and I didn't have any problems. The hotels and the rooms were exactly as I red on site.

The maps also gives you an idea where the hotels reside.

The reservation process is easy and you don't need to pay with credit card.

    Enjoy your travel.

  7. The Hotel St. Andre des Artes at 66 rue St. Andre des Artes in the 6th arr. is my favorite hotel in Paris. Its inexpensive and doesn't have minibars or such like (or elevators for that matter) but lots of charm and an unbeatable location. They are a quick walk to Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Luxembourg Gardens, etc.

The have a couple of rooms that are very good for a family with two bedrooms and a bath. Price would be from 109-120 euros a night (pretty cheap by Paris standards). Breakfast included.

E-mail them for a reservation and explain exactly what you want. Frederick, handles the emails, speaks English and is very helpful. They are  very small and very popular so a reservation is essentail.  Email is: hsaintand@wannado.fr
