1 team who is currently just barely out of the playoffs right has wanted Webb from me all season. Should I trade him if the offer is something like this: B. Webb, C. Young(OF), J. Pierre, and I would get M. Cain, M. Kemp, and M. Capps.

I would put Capps on my DL at first and pick up someone to use until he is back to get me saves. My 3rd OF spot is G. Anderson, and my UTIL guys are a combo of J. Pierre, C. Young, K. Shoppach, M. Jacobs, and I. Stewart. The rest of my lineup is fairly solid. I am 1 win behind the team with the best record in the league so I am considering going for it this year with an upgrade to my 3rd OF spot behind Holliday and Abreu .

The other important part is that even though Cain is playing well, it is a keeper league, and with only 4 batters and 4 pitchers kept, the only one that I would probably keep for next year is Cain in place of Webb (My batters I plan on keeping are Teixeira, McCann, Holliday, and B. Roberts). So this trade would hurt me for next year. Should I go for it, or just use the platoon that has gotten me to this point?

  1. Go for it. Why play it safe. You'd always wonder what would have happened if you had been bold. Believe it. Your competitors are going to ramp it up in the last weeks. So should you.

  2. I woudln't do that deal unless I was already stacked at pitcher personally.
