what classes/previous job experience should one take in order to be a fashion editor for a magazine?

  1. Major in journalism, or at least take classes in it. Look for courses that will teach you about page design, copy-editing, and non-fiction writing.

    As far as job experience goes, you'll want to be published so you can have "clips" of published articles to show a prospective employer. This isn't as difficult as it may seem; school newspapers and other small local publications are often eager for material.

    Also, you should intern at a local paper or magazine, so that you can put other skills -- page design, copy-editing -- to use too.

    A fashion magazine will be more concerned with how good you are as an editor, than with how well you know fashion. Everybody knows fashion. Few people know AP Style.


  2. IDK, that's actually what i am thinking about being.... LA art's colloge has  allot of designing.Sorry I'm' not much of a help but, yeah as col loge goes  LA has the best for that kind of desinging.
