Felony help?

If you are on probation can you get violated for writing a felony that is in jail a letter? also can you go to the jail house and see that person on vistation day?

  1. i'm guessing you mean a felon in jail. not a felony. if you are on probation, you will need to get permission from your po to visit someone in jail. if you don't, you will most likely be turned away at the visiting office, after waiting forever in line. i don't think writing would matter, unless a crime happens because of the writing, or the writing involves info of a crime. i doubt that just writing a friend, or boyfriend would get you violated. just watch what you write.


  2. Best advise: Call the probation officer and find out from directly from the horses mouth! Don't take an "it's okay" answer on this thread when it could mean jail for you or someone else if the advice was wrong...why chance it?
