Is it alright to wear a pad when swimming on your period. My plan would be to wear underwear with the pad and then my swim suit and then some black shorts. What do you think? and if you have something else that works or a suggestion please feel free to share!

  1. if you wear a pad your gonna beso embarressed it will hang down between your legs its either tampon or no swimming.

  2. you really don't need anything, the pressure from the pool will keep you from bleeding. but you have to watch for blood spilling out when you get out of the pool

  3. i personally feel i think you should try a tampon they rock and you cant even feel them you can go swimming and everything they even make them for people who do a lot of sports. (playtex sport) i dont think you should wear a pad it will soak up all the water and if you do leak blood on it while your in the pool black shorts arnt going to help you if you have a blood stream following you from behind plus what if it slips out and how embarrassing wold that be. OMG i wouldnt even want to think about it.

so i suggest even if you don't like tampons just use one for how ever long you are going to be in the water then once your out go back to a pad walmart sells travel tampon packs by playtex for like $1.50 and it comes with 5

  4. You cannot wear a pad in the pool.. Its like letting a baby wear a diaper in the pool. It will swell up with water and you will also probably leak all over the pool and everyone will know. It will be so heavy with the water that it will probably make your shorts and swimsuit sag. If you don't want to wear a tampon, DONT go swimming, because this is the only alternative.

  5. You should wear a tampon.

  7. You cannot wear a pad if you plan on getting in the water, it would be VERY embarassing. You would have a VERY un-natural bulge in a few minutes.  I recommend Tampax Pearl, they are the best tampons I have ever used!

  8. you wouldnt wear a pad? wearing a pad may soak up all the water, but if ur going to wear black shorts im sure it will be okay. but periods usually stop when getting into the water

  9. I'm sorry hun, but you must wear a tampon.

it doesnt work even if you layer it. its unsanitary.
