Feminists and organizations?

How many women here on GWS belong to some kind of registered organizations that work for the cause of feminists?

Thumbs up and thumbs down simply express agreement or disagreement with the answer (that's what they're FOR) -- except that, if you Report an answer, the system automatically also gives it a thumbs down.

As for your question. I am not a member of any such organization.

If I were employed and able to contribute money, I'd probably add Equality Now to the list of organizations to which I'd toss some bucks now and then.

A thumb down doesn't mean "liar" it means "incorrect information" or "bad advice" or "I disagree" -- that an answer is innocuous doesn't preclude others saying they disagree with what it says.

I often read the existing answers, give out thumbs, and, if I have nothing to add to the good answers, I move on. There's no obligation to answer or rebut. (Well, in this case, since you're kinda taking a poll, I'm actually answering, regardless of what others have said before me.)

BTW, you don't know whether the people clicking thumbs have also answered or not, do you?

I don't. I've been thinking of starting up a liberal/equity feminist organization at my university, but I don't have the time.

I recently found out my gran is part of a feminist sleeper cell, she is a member of the "Women's Institute" here in the UK, I will have to turn her in!
