Who thinks the name Bear is cute for a ferrets name?

Bear is a good name, but is your ferret a Grizzly bear, a teddy bear.. The best thing for names is to get an idea of their personality, mine before he passed away his name was Raider, he got into EVERYTHING but was the cuddliest guy in the world, and he had a habit of stealing my cat's toys and hording all the toys. But the best name is one that they live up to in their personality.

Having a ferret  will help clear your sinuses,i  know, i  have had  two of them,  i thought they  were  'fixed'  but the one sure wasnt, and yes, you have to be  very meticulous about keeping their cages clean......they make  interesting pets,  and  can  be  very inquisitive and  get into mischief very quickly, because they are slender build they can get behind  all kinds of  furniture,  bookcases,  refrigerators, etc, and  can  make  some nasty messes, they will tear  up all kinds of things and try to make  nests out  of newspapers, magazines, etc.  they can be  quite  hilarious to watch them play,.....i  called the  one  male  rikki tikki tavi,  but the one in  the childrens   book  was a mongoose, not a ferret.....you can  use  baby wipes on them to keep them  clean and smelling good, even  dryer sheets  that are nicely scented......they can  be washed easily in  warm water and  dawn dish soap.....toweled  dry or let them romp in a warm cage outside, out of  direct sunlight.........they like cat good and  fresh  veggies, apples and carrots.....no  sweets!!!!!

and watch out for their  teeth,  they  are very sharp!!!!! and  will nip if you arent careful..........all in all, they make very interesting pets!!!!  Enjoy!!!!.

Bear is an interesting name for your own reasons.......Li'l Bear  or  even  Teddy Bear is cute.....

it's adorable in a deep sense that displays the irony of naming an animal after an animal that is in no way related to it's own species; it's dark, i like it.

if you don't own the ferret yet, i'll warn you now..they're very messy and they don't smell great all the time so don't keep them in a small room or it'll smell like ferret excretions for a LONG time.

I would name it Fozzie Bear if I wear you. You know from the show Muppet Babies.  Use Bear as a last name. My ferrets names are Loki Bear, she is 2, Rolo Brown, she is 10 months and Mr. Bean he is 12 weeks today.

Friend to all animals I completely agree with you about use all needing to contact yahoo about making a catagory for ferrets. They have catagories for Birds and Horses and Fish and rodents and reptiles when in reality ferrets are really the third most popular pet in the US. 10,000,000 ferrets yes MILLION. No body else has that many other pets. Of course dogs and cats are the first 2 popular.

It's SO cute! AT 4-H judging I saw a cute little pair of Ferrets and their names were Lilly and Jumper. Jumper was so cute, his name fitted him! I totally think Bear is a GREAT name for a ferret! P.S. I'm not a ferret owner. Sorry! I just thought this was a cute question!

Me and monkey have been discussing your idea of calling your ferret Bear we like it. We recently had to get over the loss of the best ferret we ever owned his name was big-mad-mental. In our humble opinion he was and always will be the king of ferrets with over 400 kills to his name and a few cats included too, but enough of me harping back to the good old days....;)

Very cute but typical. I have two sister ferrets. They are almost two years old! (Feels like yesterday I brought the little 8 week old girls home) Their names are Rogue and Monroe. Ferrets are alot of work, I hope you know that. They need a ton of excersice. We let ours out to play in the house twice a day and it's a non-stop clean up and chase after. They spill everything, steal everything, and are alot of work to potty train. (Note: if they p**p on the carpet DO NOT clean it until it's dry. It smears everywhere. But when dry, comes up with out an residue very easily) Do NOT purchase any ferret that isn't a Marshal's ferret. (It will have blue dot tatoos in one ear) Get at Least a two story cage. Bear is a cute name. We used to have three ferrets named Nick, Alex, and Valentine. (But we once had a dog named Bear.)

But I personally like the name Bear, but if is one of the albino ones(or just white) I wouldn't cause it doesn't seem too fitting unless it is one of the darker ones.

You shouldn't ask other people. You should pick a name because it suits you ferrets looks and personality, not just because it's cute.

Bear is a cute name. i had a ferret named Chucky, from that little doll, cuz he was a little monster.He loved to hide everyones shoes and steal anything colorful. Ferrets ar e great little thiefs! Shoulda trained him to be a pick pocket!

yes Bear is a cute name, but then there are names like TAY, ODWALLA, POLLY, BOO-BOO, BABOON, COOPER, ADAM, SCOTTIE, SCOTT, TOPISH, FLIPPER, PAE,CANDY, BUTTON, and many others...

I had a ferret. and I think the name bandit fits them better. they look like they are wearing  mask. They are a lot of fun but they can be very destructive if let out. Mine used to get under my sofa and dig a hole and hide things under there. It loves other animals also. they also need a bath often be cause they have a bad odor to them if not bathed often. i think bear is a very cute name for a ferret. however i owned a ferret and ended up giving it away because it smelled bad. i would clean the cage each day but the smell kept coming back. but overall, i think bear would be a cute name for a ferret. Also, tiny or buffy are good names.

I have 2 ferrets -- Roxanne and Sabastian.  They are a lot of fun.

Don't you wish they had a category for Ferrets like they do for the Cats and dogs.  We rank right up there with them as the most popular pets.  Maybe if  all the ferret lovers asked Yahoo answers if they would create one for us --  they might consider it.  YOU Think?

I think Bear is a cute name, do YOU like it? My white ferret reminds me of a little polar bear and I have a black sable with a face that looks like that of a little bear cub. I think Bear would have been a cute name for either one of them.

yeah it is cute my friend had ferrets and i had to look after them once ne was a hellraising chewing and biteing machin and the other was quiet and cuddely it depends on its personality and then again a a ferret called bear would be cute like calling a goldfish shark =D

My best friend has seven Domestic Ferrets! Their names are Ann (Albino), Joe (Black Mitt), Cilla (Black Sable Standard), Mandy (Champagne Point), James (Chocolate Standard), Jessica (Dark Eyed White), and Tanya (Sable Standard). She doesn't call them Domestic Ferrets though, she calls them Fuzzies! lol Most people just call them Ferrets, but I call them Domestic Ferrets because there are wild ferrets too. They have great little personalities. They are delightful little pets. They are all so playful. I honestly think they are smarter than cats. They are the most clever animal (besides a dog) that I've ever come across! They can get into childproof locks that her mother puts on things to keep her littler sister out. I've even seen one unscrew a water bottle top! But I've also seen them get into really dangerous situations, like when James got into the dryer and my friend's mom didn't notice until after a few minutes! They are very entergentic little animals too. They get along well with her cats (Abyssinians), which I'm very surprised. They do a little ferret dance when they are happy. The first time I saw the ferret dance I thought that the animal was sick! But, my friend told me they do that when they are happy. It was funny. They all have very different and unique personalities. Not one of the seven are at all the same. She has trained some of them to do tricks, like Ann will fetch a ball and Cilla will roll over on command. She's trying to teach Cilla to jump through a hoop, but she hasn't learned this trick yet. Mandy is a rescue ferret and before my friend adopted her she was owned by someone who didn't know what they were doing. They used scoopable cat litter and it got stuck in her bottom and she had a serious problem and almost died. In fact, if it wasn't for the rescue paying for the operation, she would have been put to sleep. Domestic Ferrets are very much domestic and not at all wild like Black Footed Ferrets are. My best friend lives in an apartment and the ferrets do very well in there. I honestly think they are wonderful pets!

I particularly think the name "Bear" is cute. Especially a male ferret when they are larger and tend to be more huskier then females. I actually have one ferret named Bruiser!!!!
