Fiesta MK5 "jolting"

Question

Hi, my fiesta makes like a "jolting" sensation sometimes when I accelerate, the engine does not cut out or even come close, it's almost as if it struggles for a split second to get power when i press the accelerator. Possible fuel lock or injector issue?

Could be dirty plugs , or a dirty carburettor or injectors or fuel line filter.

Check that the throttle / accelerator cable is not slack.

If all else fails use a garage to check it.

A slight hesitation in acceleration can be as a result of several things.

The things to check are:-

1) Spark plugs

2) Fuel filter.

3) Air filter.

Its also a good idea to add some redex injector cleaner to your fuel.
