  1. definitely practice strengthening your knees and work on balance off-ice. Try balancing in a shoot-the-duck position for as long as you can and that will really help.

  2. in my professional opinion...quit figure skating...it puts holes in the ice and that sucks for hockey players...hope this helps!!!

  3. Keep practicing, and practice your shoot the duck. Getting your sit spin right will take some time. Good luck!

  4. You definatly have to work off ice but for when you're on the ice and in the sit position, you have to try and push your knee out and pull your arms out aswell. The further you do that, the lower you will spin ( normally :P)

    good luck

  5. If you're not getting many revolutions yet don't try to go down to low. Really ride that edge and snap the free leg and the arms. And remember to keep your back straight, don't hunch over.

  6. Hey!

Umm. well, everone else basicaly said everthing you need to know, but If you want some tips email me at xblondesk8erx@gmail.com !!!!!

  7. I used to have a really hard time doing my sit spin too. You might want to check to see if you were doing the same thing I was. When I started the spin, I would spin standing then try to sit down. It helps if you whip your left hand around and go right into the sit without getting up. Strengthen your legs so you can get as low as you can and still be able to stand back up. It takes a bit of practice but it gets easier.
