Finding a life coach?

I'm wanting to find a life coach that is in the area i live in, but i cant find a website or anything that will locate one for me. does anyone know where i can go to find a life coach in the area i live in? is there a phone number or a website?

and please dont tell me that i dont need one. and to go to a friend. i've tried that already.

Hi littleone,

Good for you for telling the naysayers to get lost! No one who knows the first thing about what life coaches do will give the disparaging, discouraging advice usually found here in Answers.

Many if not most coaching is done by phone, so location isn't really an issue. Having said that, just google (sorry, yahoo) on "life coach" and your city name. You'll find a ton to pick from. Then it is a matter of talking to several of them and finding one with whom you feel you can have a good rapport.

In finding a life coach, you must understand something. You will be guided and led through your life by his or her views of life. This may or may not have good or bad results for you depending on there moods and views. Life in general stinks, but it's what we do and make of it that counts. The first thing you must do is become happy with who and what you are, and not worry or even think what others say is important. They do not live your life and are not you. If you wish a life coach, then so be it. But the bottom line is that you are you and no one can change that. Get happy with yourself first and the rest will follow.
