.........Finland?

Question

ever been there by any chance?

I know the country is sorta..secluded and not very well known.

But I heard the scenery is greatness.

Is it worth the trip?

Or is there any other country that would be worth the visit?

I live very close to Finland ( in Sweden) and I´ve been to Finland once or twice.

Both times it was winter and freezing as h**l but the scenery was gorgeous! Well worth the money...

Finland is absolutely worth a visit, It´s a country with over 20.000 lakes, the Finnish archipelago in the southwest part of the country is fantastic.Finland is a country with a lot of forests.

Finland is a member of the European Union, with a population of a little more than 5 million.The country is considered one of the richest in the world.The currency is the euro. You will not have difficulties with the language, English is widely spoken especially by the young ones and middle aged people.

The capital is Helsinki, situated in the south of the country. Helsinki has a touch of "east" over it, it´s situated by the sea with nice small islands nearby. From Helsinki you can take boat trips to Stockholm, boats are leaving for Stockholm every day and there are also daily boat tours to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

Lapland in the north of the country is a nice place for tourists, the hotels are good and there is a lot to do for a tourist there, also if you are interested in night life.

It´s nicer to visit Finland in the summer, but if you like skiing for example, why not during the winter also. About coldness, of course it´s rather cold in the winter, as cold as in it´s neighbour country Sweden. It´s seldom so freezing cold as someone commented before me. The temperature in the summer is usually 20-25 degrees C, sometimes it can even be quite hot, even hotter than  in the Mediterranean countries, believe me. Yesterday it was 22 degrees C in Helsinki, quite an enjoyable temperature.

Every country is beautiful in it´s own way, why not visit Finland to experience what this country has to offer. A warm welcome!

You can take the ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm (superb city).
