Fires and Egy apartment complexes?

After almost burning part of my kitchen I became concerned about kitchen fires in apartment complexes. Are there safety guidelines? fire sprinklers in hallways for the more expensive apartment complexes? is it easy to find a large sized fire extinguisher in a certain store in egypt (alex area)? In germany only the small extinguishers which really don't stop anything are sold to the public. One has to go through special channels to get the larger ones that help extinguish kitchen blazes. Are there certain areas of alex that have good response time from emergency services (ambulances, police or fire fighters)?

im not sure if you can buy a large size fire extinguisher .

the emergency services are  very good in Alex .

our porters are also very good .

they are alert to any smoke or  burning smell coming from an apartment .
