Alone in darkness my eyes burn bright,

your love doth keep my heart alight.

Sitting, Quivering in my room,

Forgone the sense of pending doom.

Your beuty the lantern for my path,

My Heart strings firmly in grasp.

Your hair sunshine in pouring rain,

Makes seem the world devoid of pain.

For what is a man without his light,

His heart filled with blackest night.

For who will guide him on his path,

If not for her with heart strings in grasp.

  1. A nice little poem spoiled somewhat by spelling and punctuation mistakes. Substitute the old word "doth" perhaps "Your love; it keeps..."

    "him on his way"

"if not for her heart strings in soft lay (Song, sound, singing)

    Robert
