First day of college?

Well, after 19 years at home, I finally moved out with my brother and my best friend. I was pumped about doing it, but now I'm sitting in my bed at 1:17 AM and I'm scared. I really miss being home....I miss my parents and my younger brother...I just miss being home. I thought moving out would be great but...I don't know if I can do it. My friend has the exact same classes and course, and we have the same part-time job, but I feel so alone....what should I do?

  1. Well, that's normal to feel that way.  You can call home and visit.  Meet some new people.  You'll get comfortable after a while.

  2. it will take time to get used to your new life.  don't give up so early!

  3. It's only your first day buddy, you'll get used to it, and then you'll have a blast!

  4. that is also what i felt when i first moved out from home and stayed in a boarding house because my classes starts early in the morning and they dismiss us around 6 or 7 in the evening. the very first things to do is pray to do Lord because he is the only one who would never leave you. Just think that you need to study hard for them and concentrate on your studies. You can still call them. that makes life so challenging. you are feeling that way with your parents because now nobody is doing the things they did with you. and of course you miss their company.

i grew up with my grand mother she was the one who raised my mom is in the US working for us to study. Actually last semester my grandma has passed away and i felt that my whole world has collapsed and made me want to give up but i realized that she wouldn't be happy to see me this way. but it is really hard. just pray and don't lose hope.
