I recently got referred to a reproductive medicine specialist and will be going to my first appointment next week. I want to know what the first step(s) will most likely be. I've heard a lot about Clomid...but I read that you're supposed to take it on certain days of your cycle and I wouldn't know what days are what of my cycle because I've only had 3 periods in the last year. Anyone have any information about any meds or even any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

  1. clomid is to be taken on days 5-9 of your cycle. day 1 being the day you start your period. if you dont have a period then you aren't ovulating.

  2. First step will be to sit down and speak to your RE. Than he/she will preform a sonogram & take your blood along with your husbands. I wouldn't worry to much about clomid. There are many different drugs out there your RE can use. Your RE will decide what you'll need. I wish you luck. I'm at the point where we have a surrogate and my RE is trying to see if I have ovaries that will produce eggs.
