  1. Bring a notebook and a pen and look around to see what others brought.  Then you'll know what to bring.

    Good luck.

  2. To be safe, get the basics.

Pencils, Notebooks, paper, black, blue, and red ink pens, about 7 small binders.

In each individual class on your first few days, teachers will usually specify anything special you need to buy for their class.

  3. Yes, you need to aquire tons of felt for projects. I ended up covering many posterboards with felt. another strange thing that i used throughout the year was packaging peanuts. man, i glued those to everything. they make everything better. don't forget to buy rainbow colored papers- teachers hate it if you hand anything white (it is a diversity issue). holes in jeans is cool too. it makes the poor kids feel at home.

ps. dont forget to buy salsa for your teachers- they love it.

  4. A binder and paper for every class.

A pencil box to put pencils in pens in and some type of colorful writers.

    A calculator.

Good Luck. They told us what to bring.

    I'm going into 9th grade too :)

  5. my freshman year i bought binders and stuff only to find out i needed different stuff and had to return all of it buy a bag and wait

  6. I don't know what you are talking about regarding felts but I'm the parent of two teens, entering 9th and 10th grades. Here is what I would suggest that you buy for now. When you get a syllabus from each class on the first day of school the teachers will tell you what they specifically request.

    Backpack not a trapper

    Notebook paper

Spiral notebook or three ring binder for organization

    Folders

    Pencils

Pens, black or blue and also red for grading papers

    Erasers

Like I said individual teachers will ask for other stuff but you won't know what the teachers require until you get the syllabus and have class on the first day of school.

You will also discover you need other things as time goes on. Maybe post it notes, highlighters. Things that you will just find helpful.

  7. Don't buy anything before the first day. Bring a notebook and a pen to write down what you need. At my highschool, freshman year most of the teachers had syllabuses telling us exactly what we needed. Go school supply shopping after your first day.

  8. on the first few days of school the teacher will tell you what you need for the classes. Have fun!! I love high school so much better then junior high, so much more freedom! :-)

  9. go on our school website, because usually there is a supply list posted there.
