Fish Combination... Please Answer!?

Question

okay i am getting 10 fish for my 10 gallon tank. No fish bigger than 3 inches in length.

Please dont say your tank is going to be overcrowded because its not.

Just give me a combination of 10 fish that get along with eachother

As for fish that get along together. You could get Mollies, Tetras, Dannio's, and goldfish. They alll work together. Also rapheal catfish and ranibow sharks are well together. Gourami's can be semi aggressive especially with other gourami's so be careful but what I have listed about will be fine

Its not the number of fish that's important, but the species and that species needs (activity levels, bioload, parameter needs, shoaling needs, territory needs etc etc etc).

You can't just put in 10 fish, you have to consider a pile of other things

For that tank - 5 neon tetras and 5 female tuxedo swords/guppies etc.

I would go to your fish store and they can help you pick them depending on salt or freshwater etc. If your doing a freshwater tank you should try to find a freshwater puffer fish. http://static.flickr.com/22/37051787_c88... . I had one in my old tank with about 15-20 other fish without any problems and they are pretty cool too!

the rule is 1 inch of fish a gallon so sorry your wrong its going to be overcrowded and everyone will agree. But if its coldwater fish they pretty much all get along but tropical fish can be more tempermental.

The rule is 1'' per gallon, so if you going to go by 3'' per gallon your tank is going to be overcrowded, i know you don't want to hear that but it is the truth, you shouldn't get worked up over it you can still have nice fish!

10 gallons is 45 liters which is not a bad size here are some options you can choose from.

3 swordtails,  3 platys:

5 guppies, 6 neon tetras:
