Fishing in/near Houston?

My husband, our kids & I want to go fishing but we don't know where in or around Houston. We've been to Galveston but are there any better places?

Texas City/LaMarque area

There are many places to fish in and around houston, not sure where to go, find a boat store (any one) and I'm sure they can tell you where the best place to go is.

Yes, there are several places. Lake Conroe, Lake Houston, George Bush park, Kemah at the boardwalk... Have fun!
