Fishing line twisting?

i have this spinning reel and i have some light line on it, it's not very expensive and i recently trawled like a plastic squid thing for snoek which is very light and it also has a swivel at the end of the line. but when i reeled it in, the line was twisting loads of times and i could pull the line and it would untwist with no knots but when i gave it slack again it would just twist up again. why does this happen and can i prevent it?

You can take the memory out of it by taking a really heavy lure or a lot of weights and troll almost all of your line out in a really deep lake. The tension should take the coil out and you should be good to go.

i think it is that you are useing to think of line and not enough wieght
