Fixing tub?

Question

we have a tub,say like this one http://www.rikb.com/luxury/main-tub-spa.jpg where the ladys right shoulder is collects with water during any shower and runs down to where her left few candles are and we have left a towel there permanently cuz if it s too much water it leaks down to the floor.The shower fixture is say above her head and there is a shower curtain on the side where her hand is.

How do you fix this problem & what do you think s really going on?

It would appear that the tub was not installed level, an easy way to check this would be to just get a two foot level and lie it along the edge of the tub (where her pillow thingy is). you then would look at the bubble. the bubble should be exactly between the lines for it to be level. If it is not then your tub is not level.

if it is not level, first make sure that the two foot level reaches all the way across the the edge of the tub. (from the corner to the edge of the tub{where the shower curtain would hang down}). Then move the end of the level up in the corner where water collects until the bubble is centered. you then need to measure the distance between the level and the tub (the gap you created when you moved the level to center the bubble).

write this measurement down.

this is the distance the tub needs to be raised in order for water to no longer collect there.

Other than major repairs, you can try these. I have used them and they work well. The tub should be lower towards the inside and higher on the outside. If it is perfectly straight, the water will collect and can run outside of the tub.
