Fleshy buildup in my ears?

Now I don't know if this is relative, but I have gauged ears. I just went up to a 2g from a 4, and my left ear was a lot harder and more painful than my right.

I realize this because I can't recall when it started, or if I've always had it, but I get what I like to call "ear tumors" because they resemble a zit, sometimes they're located that I can pop them and puss will come out but other times it's a pretty solid buildup that makes my ears feel bigger, sometimes sore and look swollen.

Today while putting in my tapers I realized that there was some blockage on my left ear, where lately there has been this buildup around my gauge. It was bleeding just a tiny bit from the pressure of popping my taper in (where my right hadn't bled at all), so it made me curious.

What exactly am I experiencing?
