Flushing kawasaki jet ski?

I have a 1994 kawasaki superspot xi 750 2 stroke

I want to be able to hook them up to the hose so i can work on them out of the water. I think i knwo where i would jook up th ehose so what do i do. start the motor and let it ilde fo ra few secconds then turn on the water how muthc do i turn it on a little all the way?

if the water is cold wild it size up the engine?

  1. for yamaha SHO we do start engine then turn on the water then when u want to off the engine u'll have to turn off the water n then full throttle to flush the water out of the engine

    (turn the water on as much as possible)


  2. Yup, he's right. Start the motor first then turn on the water. Shut the water off first, then kill the motor.

    You need to run the water enough so that it is coming out the little tube in the hull. About half is probably enough, but more is not a problem. I've never had the cold water be an issue. Here they run them in the lake when the water temp is 40 degrees so that's colder than well water. The motor is cold anyhow when you start it.

    Do not race the motor hard out of the water because there is no load on the shaft. Also, just run it long enough to do the adjustments you need or to flush it.

    Most 750's have the flush kit installed from the factory. If not, you can pick one up at your local shop or online from any Jet Ski supplier.
