Question:

Fly Kick .... ?

im a competitive swimmer, and i cannot seem to do the butterfly kick after a flipturn in freestyle or backstoke. Any tips? help please.

  1. Remember that the kick comes from your hips not your knees, so consentrate on moving your hips really fast and hard and let your legs follow your hips. Keep your feet kind of pointed. If your still having trouble with it try using fins until you get the feel of it. Remember to stay in TIGHT streamline the whole time. If it helps imagine your a dolphin. Good luck!


  2. its like a dolphin tails just practise without the arms and do the kick

  3. practice doing the kick without the turn, then add the turn in and hopefully u can do it
