Question:

Foggy nipples? (bottle)

I breastfeed exclusively and pump for when I'm working so I never really feed my baby a bottle but I notice when I sometimes wash the bottles and nipples the nipples are kind of cloudy looking. Idk if that's normal or if they're not getting cleaned well. I usually rinse them, sometimes with soap, and boil them. Any word?

  1. I had the same problem with my son's nipples for his bottle. I just scrubbed them better with the nipple brush end and it cleaned them better, therefore they didn't have the foggy look to them anymore.

  2. That seems to happen when you boil them.  They are fine, just keep washing and boiling after each use, and replace them when they start getting to soft!

  3. I noticed that the nipples are clearer when I use the bristle portion of the bottle brush. It must scrub away the residue or something. We just wash the nipples with soap & hot water using the bottle brush and they're pretty clear --- of course not as clear as when they're brand new!
