  1. ok, i know this as fact because i went to college and took every child development class they had to offer. It is not safe or a good idea to give babies adult food. their little tummies cant digest it. you will see evidense of this when they have a bowel movement. they will cry or scream in pain. or they will hold it to avoid the pain. please please please only give your baby baby food. or at least take fresh fruit and veggies and blend them up in a blender. there are finger foods that you can give them as well that come in baby food jars. give them anything soft and easy to swallow. the softer the food the easier it is for them to digest. children, ideally shouldnt be given table food until at least 2 years old.  i followed these guidelines and my son grew up healthy and only one in our family who doesnt have a weight problem.

  2. She can pretty much eat any of those foods. I just cut the mean into little tiny squares. As long as she has a few teeth and seems to be doing okay with these foods they are fine for her. Just watch her and learn with her, that's what all first time moms do. On e thing my kiddo loves is those new lunchables for toddlers. They are a great easy lunch or snack. Usually at 10 months your baby can eat whatever you as a family are eating. Good luck and have fun trying new things with your baby!

  3. My daughter will be 10 months in two weeks and she's already eating everything we eat. My daughter loves chicken nugget but I make them. I don't give her any preservatives or additives.

It's good that they start with a good variety of food at a young age.

    Have fun!

EDIT: waiting4someday- that's not true! my daughter eats table food and has not gotten sick... her BM are totally fine!  As a matter of fact, my daughter's pediatrician approved it.

  4. why do you want to start your baby on c**p food? They are all processed sh*t that has no real use. There are no vitamins and no minerals. Give your child real meat, fruits and veggies as well as yogurts and cheese.

What she means by adult food is if you have meat and veg she can too. Just mash with a fork. You want some lumps by 10 months so they learn to chew. There are great cook books you can buy that show meals for you/toddler and baby. All from the same meal just how to vary it for all

  5. My 11 month old loves chicken nuggets and tenders.  I just cut them up very small and watch him carefully.  I also give him hamburger all crumbled up.  I think all of thoes foods are just fine.  My doctor told me they will let us know if something is too much for them to handle.  We just need to watch them carefully when they eat.

I give my son many of the foods the rest of the family is eating for dinner.  He loves to eat what we do!

  6. those might be a little too much for her to handle unless she has quite a few teeth... u can try chicken but grind it up and see if she likes it the same with burgers... or go to gerber graduates and introduce her to those foods before she tries table food... she make get gassy and her tummy may hurt other wise...

  7. My son just turned one. He has been on stage 3 foods for a while now. I just now started to give him table food. Mashed potatoes, eggs, bananas. Anything soft for babies that only have 4 teeth on top and 4 teeth on bottom.

  8. hi my advice is to not fall into the trap of giving kids "kids" food. A 10 month old should be having pureed/mashed veggies and meat, mashed banana, avocado, pureed apple, yoghurt,custard,etc...Bubs learn healthy eating habits from a very early age and as parents we need to give a variety of healthy foods to our babies and toddlers, good luck!!!
