Food in Peru?

Does anyone have any stories, legends, folktales, sayings, or songs that are associated with the foods or cuisine in Peru? PLEASE help, this is for a project...Thanks in advance. The one I choose to use gets 10 pts.

One of the first things you need to know is that the Incas had lots of gods and one of the most important one was the Pachamama which was the godess of the earth and nothing ever happened (in the food area) without her consent. Every food you ate had to be blessed by her.

  5. well, im peruvian, and we have a costume of not passing salt or hot sauce of any kind, to each other directly.first you put it down on the table and then the person can grab it. because if the other person gets it from your hand then you guys are going to get in an argument or conflict of some kind.weird i know but my mom and i always do it!!hope it helps
