Food poisoning question?

My niece Kyra ate with us at the olive garden last night. we ate at 7 pm. she had salad, breadsticks, alfredo sauce, a few pieces of calamari (deep fried squid) and macaroni and cheese. we all had the same food she did. at midnight she began throwing up and threw up at least four times before stopping around 3 am. she is fine this morning.

was this food poisoning?

an allergic reaction?

your advice is much appreciated.

Not food poisoning if nobody else got sick BUT it can take a week for it to rear its ugly head. She was probably sensitive to something she ate or had some sort of gastro-intestinal flu.

It was probably an allergic reaction. It might have been food poisioning if the chef or her didn't wash his/her hands after using the restroom.

it sounds like a food allergy im allergic to some foods and have the same reaction once i get sick imfine food poisoning on the other hand would have more severe symptoms such as severe stomach pains and usually requires medical attention

Since all of you ate the same thing, I say allergic reaction, probably to the calamari.  Some people are very sensitive to certain types of seafood.  If the alfredo had shrimp in it, that too could have caused her problem.

i thinks this is an allergic reaction.maybe is sanitation problem.
